Hello All,
The book of the month is Have You Filled Your Bucket Today?, by Carol McCloud. I will be placing copies in everyone's mailbox. It is a children's book with a powerful message and it is a quick read. It discusses how being kind to others, people being kind to you, and how being not so nice shapes everyone's day. Basically, it discusses if you are kind to others, you will feel better about yourself and vice versa.
This month the ELA teachers should read the book with their classes. However, it is definitely something we should all be discussing with our students. It truly is an awesome book. The websites below provide some great activities that can be done after the book has been read.
If there is anything I can do to help you prepare for the reading of the book and/or the activities please don't hesitate to ask. My goal for the Book of the Month is to make it as stress free for you as possible, so you can enjoy reading and discussing the book with your students
Happy Reading!
Ms. Shannon
